Wellie has her very own website!
http://www.whidbeysenglishwellington.webs.com/

Wellie is now enjoying the "retired" life and letting "Chewy" enjoy some time in the ring. It is hard to believe that our "little girl" is now 7 years old; time flies! In three short years Wellie took us on a journey we never imagined. When we bought wellie from Holly Lapole in WA State our goal was to "finish her" and perhaps accumulate some group placements along the way. Little did we know Wellie had another plan of her own! Her puppy career brought about numerous BPIG awards and 4 BPIS's, and 17 Group placements as a puppy! WOW. Wellie seemed to love being a show dog... she was always found with her lil tail just a wiggling in the ring. so when 2009 arrived originally we had planned to let her have a break and focus on a specials career in 2010. Wellie once again had her own plan... she was a born show dog! Wellie very quickly became a multiple group winner and was now the #1 Clumber Spaniel in Canada (A BITCH to boot!!) We decided we should really take Wellie to the Canadian Nationals as the judge was highly respected in clumbers (Mr. Everett Dean). Beyond our wildest dreams Wellie once again had her own plan... to WIN the Canadian National!!! we were THRILLED. She finished 2009 as the #1 Clumber Spaniel, #23 Sporting Dog in Canada. 2010 came around and Wellie was still having FUN... so we decided as long as she was having fun we'd keep showing her.... afterall there was only ONE Rossette she had not yet won out of every possible CKC Rossette available... a BIS..... May 2010, that changed... Wellie won her first BEST IN SHOW! Not more than a month later she won a Reserve Best In Show!! and only a few weeks after that... ANOTHER BIS!!! Completing her CGN in July, makes Wellie the first Female Clumber Grand Champion Excellent in CKC History.
Wellie is also the Only Female Clumber Spaniel in CKC History to win both the Canadian National Specialty and an All Breed BIS! She is the all time top winning female clumber Spaniel in Canada! Wellie accomplished all of these wins OWNER HANDLED!!! Which makes her show career all that much more unbelievable and exciting for us. Having accomplished sooooo much, wellie is now enjoying a MUCH DESERVED break at home living and doing whatever she feels she likes to do! She truly is the QUEEN of the house!  Who knows.. maybe this clumber will one day be seen in "another ring".... we caught her recently practicing with her brothers "rally equipment"... you never know!

A big "THANK YOU" to everyone that has supported Wellie over the past years, the judges, and her fans that cheered her on every weekend, we truly appreciate it all!
